- c. 1888
- 14k yellow gold, natural uncultured seed pearls, turquoise
- Engraved for August 8th, 1888 (8/8/88, such a charming date makes us believe this was likely a wedding present).
This is one of the most charming initial pieces we've ever come across; with a simple Etruscan revival wrap shape and elegant turquoise-and-pearl studded letters, we love that the crescent moon can either count as a C or just as a decorative detail, depending on your initials. Beautifully hand engraved with the date of its original presentation, this piece was likely given and worn on a summertime Victorian wedding day.
- Width at face: 12mm
- Diameter: 2" by 2.25" / 5 - 5.7 cm
Very good antique. 2 very small pearls appear to be old replacements.
